Reason for the role

We are looking for a Finance Administrator, to be locally based in Toronto, supporting the local and global finance teams.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Work together with our accounting manager on all aspects of our accounting: AP/AR/Bank reconciliation/GL accounting.

  • Prepare weekly payment runs, review processed transactions, maintain accounting ledgers and reconciling.

  • Close follow-up on accounts receivable and accounts receivable reporting in cooperation with our credit controller.

  • Focus mainly on the day-to-day operational accounting for the NOAM entities and assisting in month/quarter end closing.

  • Process & follow up of sales orders.

  • Be responsible for correct and timely billing towards customers.

  • Answer different stakeholders (customers, sales reps, HQ etc.) questions surrounding billing & payments.

  • Pick up various ad-hoc/project-matic tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Young tech savvy finance professional with a keen eye on processes & tools and a “can do” approach.

  • Bachelor in Accounting or similar due to experience & first experience as a finance administrator or accountant.

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.

  • Time management skills.

  • Willing to take on challenges in a fast-moving environment.

  • Flexible but still punctual.

  • Eye for efficiency improvements.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and help out wherever needed.

  • Have a proactive attitude.
