Felipe Diaz, Chief Operating Officer of Amorino Mexico & Illinois, says, “In Amorino, delivery has become very important as it represents up to 40% of sales through third-party delivery platforms.

As it happened worldwide for many types of restaurants, the pandemic changed consumption dynamics. “People found a new way to have the product in their homes. So it’s imperative to have an option for all of them”, says Díaz.

When dealing with a high-quality product needing proper cold chain control, efficiency in receiving, processing, and delivering orders is critical. 

Pre-Deliverect era

What problems did we used to have before Deliverect? I believe we had them all. From having five to six tablets in our front store to whether we had to decide if we served an in-store client. Or if an order came to the tablet and no one listened to it,” Díaz comments on the many challenges of growing through delivery. This is a scenario that many restaurants can identify with when it comes to adapting to a dynamic market demanding new technologies. 

As a sales channel, delivery opens up many possibilities for getting new customers and higher profitability but also brings additional complexities. In the case of Amorino, technical and payroll complications also arose. “Because it took one more person to serve six tablets and attend to the people in front of them.” That’s when Amorino looked for a partner capable of simplifying the entire delivery process and fell in love with Deliverect.
